From our inception, MSS has actively supported the National Space Development Agency of Japan (NASDA), the current Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), participating in the design of launch site facility, the development of satellite launch rockets and other important projects. In addition to the one and only rocket navigation guidance technology in Japan, we have also accumulated extensive basic technologies and experiences in thermal, structural, fluid, communications,image, reliability, operational and other analyses and evaluations. With these strong foundations, MSS participates in national projects such as spacecraft design, remote sensing, International Space Station and other innovative undertakings.

In the defense field, MSS is making key contributions to the security and peace of the Japanese nation. Our missions are development of software for radars, missiles and other defense system equipments, engineering of operation support systems focused on information and backup logistics, construction of simulation models and development of software for strategy analyses and exercises and more.

In the field of rice genome research, MSS has been a major participant in the establishment and operation of DNA bank system led by the National Institute ofAgrobiological Sciences (NIAS), a world-leading organization in its field.

Covering from DNA sequence and function analysis, to database creation for results, we have accumulated practical experiences in creating this analytical system and supporting the operation in this project.

Through this achievement in bioinformatics, MSS continues to make bold inroads into genome drug design, tailor-made health care, functional foods, the environment, energy and other critical cutting edge fields as well.

Through collaboration with the National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Prevention (NIED), MSS has developed an online earthquake monitoring system based on the network of earthquake sensors (strong-motion seismometers) installed at about 1,600 locations nationwide.

Backed by this valuable experience, we are currently playing an active role in the support and system development for earthquake analysis, simulation and other critical researches. We are also a key player in commercializing emergency earthquake information distribution system and other pivotal projects in maintaining safety when disasters do strike.

In the mission to protect information in organizations, MSS develops network forensics system products that record communication packets flowing through the networks, and provide the way to analyses and search (investigate) the data as required. We are also active in the development of other software products such as to prevent information leaks via e-mail system, and to detect confidential data files including personal information existing in computer clients and tabulate the detection results. Our products are widely adopted in enterprises, government offices, municipalities and other various industry sectors.

To help the corporate sectors to build up the advanced information systems , MSS contributes to an ever-expanding range of support operations in the internet infrastructure technology. This includes the creation of intranet systems in an organization, online electronic commerce systems, information monitoring, large-scale camera surveillance systems and other important enterprise information solutions.

MSS has successfully developed a support system for the particle beam therapy system, the anticipated effective cancer treatment of the future.We also developed the virtual reality software for the research of gene therapy applications and other cutting edge healthcare systems.

Our contributions in the medical treatment field also include development and sales of the chest X-ray diagnostic support systems, the engineering of telemedicine systems with software which ensures anonymity of personal information in the medical image.

MSS has mobilized our diversified engineering expertise to develop state-of-the-art software for use in Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) network, car navigation systems, parking lot systems, traffic information systems and other highly public infrastructure related to the Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) .

We also have long experience and several outstanding achievements in infrastructure systems for data collection, measuring, control, monitoring and other processes used in energy plants and other facilities, and we will continue to make important contributions to the safety and convenience of the nation's infrastructure.

MSS also develops the system that distributes critical earthquake updates (MJ@lert), a tourist information Web site (Electronic Sightseeing Guide), the "position.com" service that utilizes maps and shows the geographical location of the user, and other new conceptual business endeavors aimed at supplying services based on the fusion of mobile telephones and personal computers.

Our efforts in this field likewise extend to the supply of facile rental websites for local governments, management associations in condominium and apartment complexes, or other potential customers , as we continue to widen our business interests in the next-generation social networking service (SNS) field.
